I got em'

So I have been coveting these headphones for about 4-5 months and I finally got them.

V-Moda Duo-They are noise canceling, have great sound, have a mic for my iphone, and most of all they just look nasty.  They come with white and black earpieces so you can choose your look, I went with black because black and chrome looks sick!

It is so tight, you will be listening to the ipod on the iphone and the music fades out and the ringer gently fades in, you push the button on the mic, answer the call and talk, then hang up and your music automatically fades back in right where you left off.  It is so fluid!

You really should listen to me...

I am a movie lover!  I know, I know so are you but I really love movies.  I think I would rather watch a movie than hang out with friends.  Heck it is a really good night if you do both at the same time.

That said, I believe I have a really good taste in movies.  Sure, I love the occasional "stupid" shoot em up movie just to veg out to.  But I get movies, or maybe they get me.  For some reason, I understand what the director or writer was trying to say, I see the underlining messages that most people miss.

I often leave the theatre saying "that was BAD!!!  I loved the dialog in that scene...blah, blah, blah"  and the people I went with just didn't get it or I run into others and they say the movie "sucked."

Anyways, you might remember if you are a loyal reader of my blog, that a few weeks ago I used the sweet new itunes rental feature and watched a little movie called "Once."

I raved about it here.

Little did I know that my opinion mattered so much.  My site has been off the hook since this post and the movie skyrocketed to #1 on itunes.  When the Oscar's called I could hardly believe it.  The movie Once was filmed in two weeks with 100,000 dollars, and was up for an oscar that is amazing. Last weekend this "little guy" in the land of giants won an oscar for 2007's best soundtrack.

So if you still haven't seen it, JAYSTEN!, rent it or something.  It is a breath of fresh air.

Music and a Movie

So, in my boredom I found myself searching the itunes rentals.  I came across this movie that I had never heard of.  It had good reviews so I rented it, and loved it.  It takes place in Dublin so there are quite a few F bombs, but it was really good.

Its not really a happy movie.

Its not really a sad movie.

Its not really a love story in the traditional sense.  

It is a little quirky, but if you like European music, and a lot of it, you will love this movie.
